Thoughts on Graduation

Another year has passed and I hardly noticed it. Personal affairs such as my unfortunate DepEd experience has been occupying my mind lately. In a few days from now, Batch 2007 will be leaving behind Pisay WV, temporarily, to embark on a new journey. As soon as they receive their diploma, they shall be considered "history" in the campus. Those of us who will be left behind will only have fond memories of them.

Certainly, the graduates have hurdled one of the most challenging times in their lives. Being a PSHS scholar is no walk in the park. We know full well how they toiled night and day, depriving themselves of life's little pleasures. We know how they struggled to survive, how they fought their little and big battles, be it academics or otherwise. They had their demons and yielded to the temptations that hounded them all the time. But in the end, they triumphed. And now they are to savor the sweet taste of victory - graduation.

To the graduates, I salute you all. Go and make your own grand story! (jas)

Achievement Test Out; National Mean Dips

The results of 2007 National Achievement Test for PSHS students have showed a decline in the national mean when compared with last year's mean.

What do you think of the 2007 JS Prom?

You came, you saw, you walked the ramp.
Yes, the JS Prom at the Iloilo Grand Hotel was more than just the seniors turning over the key of responsibility to the juniors, the reading of class will and testament and the speeches. It was about glamor and fashion. Yet, was it?
